Day 1: Arrival in Meknes
Start your adventure in Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Discover its grand medina, Bab Mansour gate, and royal palaces. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight stay in a riad or hotel.
Day 2: Meknes to Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
Leave Meknes early, driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and Berber villages. Continue towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Arrive in the late afternoon and prepare for a camel trek into the dunes. Watch the desert sunset and spend the night in a luxury desert camp.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Tour
Spend the day exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit Khamlia village to experience authentic Gnawa music and meet nomadic families. Enjoy the desert’s peaceful atmosphere before another night under the stars.
Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Valley
Depart from the desert via the Dakar rally route. Stop at desert villages like Ouzina and Ramlia, and have lunch in a scenic oasis. Continue to the dramatic Todra Gorge, then on to the Dades Valley. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse.
Day 5: Dades Valley to Ouarzazate
Explore Dades Valley’s rock formations in the morning. Then drive to Ouarzazate, passing through the stunning Draa Valley and visiting Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdz. Arrive in Ouarzazate, the ‘Hollywood of Morocco,’ for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Visit Atlas Film Studios and the historic Telouet Kasbah. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, admiring the views and traditional Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Marrakech City Tour and Departure
Enjoy a half-day tour of Marrakech’s highlights—Jemaa el-Fna Square, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks. Depending on your schedule, transfer to the airport or continue your travels.
