Our roots trace back to the Merzouga Desert, where we, the Berbers, have long been part of a nomadic tradition. Having worked as camel men in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and as drivers and guides for several travel agencies, we speak Arabic, French, English, Spanish, and, of course, Berber—our mother tongue.
