12-Day Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival: Casablanca to Rabat

Meet the group at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). View the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque before a private transfer north to the capital city of Rabat. Check into your riad or hotel for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 Rabat & Transfer to Chefchaouen

Morning tour of Rabat, visiting the historic Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Royal Palace gates. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to the Rif Mountains and the unique Blue City of Chefchaouen.

Day 3 Chefchaouen Exploration

Spend the day leisurely wandering the tranquil, blue-washed alleys of the medina, known for its distinctive architecture and local handicrafts. Enjoy the relaxed mountain ambiance and views.

Day 4 Imperial History: Meknes & Fes

Depart Chefchaouen, stopping first at the ancient Roman site of Volubilis. Continue to Meknes to see the Bab Mansour gate before arriving in the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco, Fes, for the evening.

Day 5 Fes: Medina Deep Dive

Full day of immersion in Fes el Bali (the old medina). Explore the famous Chouara Tannery, the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University, medersas (Koranic schools), and the artisan souks.

Day 6: Across the Middle Atlas to Midelt

Begin the drive south, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass through the “Moroccan Switzerland” town of Ifrane and stop to see the wild Barbary apes in the cedar forests. Continue to Midelt for the overnight stay.

Day 7 Desert Approach: Merzouga

Journey through the stunning Ziz Valley with its massive palm groves and ancient ksars (fortified villages). Arrive at the edge of the dunes in Merzouga and prepare for the Sahara excursion.

Day 8 Sahara Trek & Camp Night

Morning exploration of the desert area (possibly visiting local nomads). In the afternoon, start the unforgettable camel trek across the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes to your secluded desert camp for dinner and stargazing.

Day 9 Gorges & Oases: Dades Valley

After an early sunrise viewing and camel return, travel west. Stop for a walk through the massive walls of the Todra Gorge. Continue along the Route of 1000 Kasbahs to the Dades Valley for the night.

Day 10 Kasbahs & High Atlas Crossing

Visit the famous fortified village of Aït Benhaddou. Explore the cinema capital of Ouarzazate. Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) into Marrakech.

Day 11 Marrakech: The Red City

Day tour of Marrakech’s historical sites, including the Saadian Tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace, and the stunning Majorelle Garden. Evening visit to the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna main square.

Day 12 Departure

Enjoy a final Moroccan breakfast and any last-minute shopping. Transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) according to your group’s flight schedule for departure.
